Material used:
E-Waste including parts obtained from a non-functional wet grinder and discarded fridge with racks. A sizable 10-liter plastic dahi container, single Use Plastic Bottles filled with plastic trash and empty paint containers, used cartons, old curtains (used as fabric to cover the sitting stools, potted plants in plastic bottle cut-outs.
“Reclaimed Robot: A Garden’s Guardian” emerges as a beacon of sustainability and creativity within the garden landscape. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this art installation seamlessly blends form and function, repurposing discarded materials to breathe new life into the environment. Standing proudly in the shape of a robot with the caption “Recycle for Better Tomorrow”, this unique piece not only serves as a striking visual focal point but also doubles as a functional garden table. At its core, the robot’s body is formed from a blend of e-waste, including parts salvaged from a wet grinder, discarded fridge and kitchen racks, and even a sizable 10-liter plastic dahi container.
These once-forgotten items have been thoroughly cleaned, painted, and reassembled to create a durable yet whimsical centerpiece. Surrounding the robot, a collection of sitting stools beckons people to rest and admire the surroundings. These stools are ingeniously fashioned from eco-bricks, each diligently crafted using single-use plastic bottles filled with plastic trash. Covered with vibrant cloth, they offer both comfort and sustainability, inviting folks to pause and contemplate the beauty of nature. Adding to the installation’s charm and eco-conscious ethos, single-use plastic bottles have been beautifully repurposed as planters. Sprouting with vibrant greenery they enhance the visual appeal of the installation while highlighting the importance of recycling and mindful consumption.
“Reclaimed Robot: A Garden’s Guardian” stands as a testament to the transformative potential of creativity and resourcefulness. As it watches over the garden, it serves as a reminder of our collective responsibility to cherish and protect the natural world, inspiring viewers to reuse waste and embrace sustainable practices in their own lives.
