Arishadvargas – (Ari-Shad-Vargas) means Detrimental-six-qualities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Mada, and Maatsarya, which a person must overcome to gain divine consciousness. The Arishadvargas are those that evoke Emotions in the human. The emotions of anger, fear disgust, happiness, sadness, surprise. We have tried to use our respective mediums of expression and collaborate to bring forth this using symbolism relevant to this context.
We have been trying to collaborate for a while, hence this project gave us an opportunity to collaborate seamlessly and this in itself is such a gratitudinal moment for both of us. Making time for this, patiently waiting for the challenges the weather brought with it and finally working out practical methods to collaborate remotely was an enriching and amazing experience. Since this has given us a kickstart, I am sure we will now collaborate on a series of projects together 🙂
Excellent…!!!
Love the concept of Shadripu and it’s execution. While one used clay, suggestive of the primordial existence of the six regressional qualities of the human mind, the other used acrylic, a modern material suggestive of the continued existence of these qualities that need to be overcome.
Awesome !
The contrast between the background and the foreground is illusionary. Good effort.
It’s a beautiful reflection of creativity and talent!
Beautiful! Love the colors and composition!
Nice
