Stories in Branches is a collaborative installation about nature, connection, and the importance of caring for our environment. Inspired by the idea of a tree as a place where people come together, rest, and share stories, the sculpture represents shelter, community, and growth.

The installation has been created using 50–70% recycled and reused materials such as tyres, plastic waste, scrap metal, cardboard, fabric, and leftover materials from earlier school projects. By transforming discarded objects into something meaningful and beautiful, the work shows how waste can be reimagined through creativity. The hanging bottles and suspended forms add movement and gentle sound, reminding viewers of birds, wind chimes, and the peaceful feeling of sitting under a real tree. These details are intended to create a calm and welcoming space within the busy school environment.

In many cultures, especially in India, trees are seen as places of gathering, wisdom, and reflection. This installation draws from that idea while also highlighting how modern life has slowly distanced us from nature. By rebuilding a tree through recycled materials, we wanted to encourage people to think about their relationship with the environment and the small actions we can take to protect it.

The work also connects to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, especially Responsible Consumption and Production, Sustainable Communities, and Climate Action, showing how art can create awareness and inspire positive change.

Ultimately, Stories in Branches is more than a sculpture, it is a shared space that invites people to pause, reflect, and reconnect with both nature and one another.
